I wake to the crashes
Of the future celebrating the day.
I once feared him but now
He has shown me the way.

Reaching your shores
I remove my thoughts,
Like shoes lining the entrance
Of a Buddhist temple.

Looking up, I hear your trees speak
Quietly amongst themselves.
Feeding upon the Sun's warmth
While sending prayers.

The ocean water laps calmly
At your island's sand
Like a spring kitten
With a short wet tongue.

The breeze feels like cashmir
On my half- naked leathery body.
I have to stop and close my eyes
To feel it, to not think about it.

They have shaped feminine dunes
That serve as your fortress wall:
Curving and arching, rhythmic
Sculpted symphonies of passion.

Daring not to touch their beauty,
I pass through with reverence
With a deep appreciation
And a feeling I don't understand.

A stream sparkles as it flows,
Happy to be part of you.
Sturdy branches with long leaves
Bend down like giraffes to drink.

A path of stones rounded by
The stream's gentle touch
Asks me to follow it
To the waterfall.

From under the verdant canopy I see
The sun shine on the pool an angelic white,
Like a room I visited too many times
In the ocean of the night.

The stream on high becomes falling drops,
Islands of water before returning to the One.
The spray from the water in freefall
Mists green trees and greener rocks with love.

I immerse my body in your love
And soak my body
To feel different.
And just to feel.

Under your water,
I hear your song strong yet soft,
Loud yet quiet, Grand yet meek:
My cells sing back to you in low elephant tones.

Like planets calling to each other,
We communicate without thoughts.
Spherical cycling draws us closer
Pulled by the gravity of stars merging.

I've always wondered how it feels upon death,
To be freed of a body and sluggish thoughts,
To touch God and open all the storeroom doors:
In your pool yet with body I now know.

I now know it is you
Who speaks in the ocean deep.
I now know it is you
Who screams eruptive passionate release.

When I was young
I felt the world in shapes
Like your fortress wall sculpture.
But mine were just gigantic boulders.

Life for me is mechanical and robotic
Yet you shown me its art.
With that I cease our merging:
Our islands now drift as we pull apart.
