I find myself blanketed and warmed
Amidst the beauty that God grants.
Never has there been so much
To admire, to have, and to hold.
Dreams are my constant companions
As I look and touch and smell each day.
But I want to put away my thoughts
And just go through the world feeling my way.
This island I stand on is my soul.
Having put away the illusion of its separation
From all other islands of the world
I found Oneness with you.
My thoughts see the separation,
But my heart feels the One.
Strange songs you sing to me
Of love and truth and peace and harmony.
I only have begun to learn their words:
Such a language, such an odd tongue.
That is why I still stand on this Island
Looking at the horizon, hearing your purple song. |
