Do condo investment groups already exist?

Certainly, Hawaii has had condominium investment groups. Most have been informally organized, composed of friends and family, and led by a real estate broker or developer. Hawaii tax laws even make room for these informal investment groups (or investment "hui", a Hawaiian word meaning "group").

Like other investment groups, they have sought to pool capital to increase the level of their purchases and allow individual investors to participate in the real estate market.
